I did mention the bonuses for using lots of tiles -- you must've skipped over that part:
"In addition to all this, there are bonuses for using 7, 8, 9, or all 10 tiles in one play. You'll get an extra 25 points for a 7-letter play, an extra 50 for an 8-letter play, an extra 75 for a 9-letter play, and an extra 100 points if you manage to use your entire rack at once. Making really long words is in your best interest!"
I prefer this explanation over a few lines of recursive code. I'm sure some people wouldn't understand that... hehe ;-)
As for the dictionary and word tester, duly noted -- will go in my next update. Glad you liked it :)

P.S. You'll note that the example boards on my page are just GIF files, not complex tables of colored squares like in your file. This is because my example boards were fabricated in MS-Paint (hehe), a.k.a. not actual games played here, and I'm not proficient enough in HTML to fabricate boards using your method... which, admittedly, is cooler than mine... hehe. So you'll have to transfer a few GIF files as well, if/when you host it here ;-) |
