How does that saying go?

"Arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand"?

Obviously religion is a choice to some degree. When I made analogies to race, what I was trying to say was that whether or not you are pious/stereotypical should have nothing to do with whether or not you get offended. Much like race, people are born with a set religion. Unless they convert, they are that religion whether they like it or not--and they have a right to be offended by material targeted at said religion, whether or not the material was intentionally offensive, or whether the person who wrote said material took possible offensiveness into account. After all. . .nobody INTENDS to offend people, it just happens.

Personally I think that a forgiveness/apology(whichever applies) is in order, but not from you. You are partially responsible for the things people put on your site, but saying that you should be held completely responsible is like saying that a kitchenware salesman should be held responsible when the person he sold a knife to stabs someone.
Forgot something(again)

I forgot to say; I don't think the President is a very good parallel because he is an elected official, which the majority of citizens did NOT vote for(if you combine the people who voted for the loser, did not vote, or are too young to vote). The Pope, on the other hand, is forced onto people, and although he can tell people what they SHOULD do, and what they SHOULD believe, he doesn't have laws to back his ideas up, or armies, navies, air forces, and departments such as the FBI to back those laws up.

I'm not sure what my point is here. . .but nobody cares when the president gets made fun of by Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, Will Ferrel, or anybody for that matter, unless it's a president like JFK or Lincoln, who were not only great presidents, but were assassinated(although that wouldn't stop Craig Kilborn. ..I hate Craig Kilborn).
