In "no queens" shouldn't promotion to a queen be disallowed?  I think it would maintain the flavor of the game better.

New Scribble Record!!

The two oldest veterans of Scribble (besides Tom... heh), LJ and myself, have finally broken the single game scoring record in Scribble. The old record, set on 3/25/2001, was 1601 points -- the new record, set on 9/17/2003, is 1608 points! This game was two and a half years in the making. Only two games above 1600 have ever been played in history -- both of us, plus a third player (MJ), were involved in that first game as well.  :)

If you want to view this awesome game, visit the following URL:

Tom and others, we await your kudos  :-)

Scoring on Muddle

How about giving bonus points for getting a certain percentage of words in a game? Something like 10 points for 40%, 20 points for 50%, etc. That way the games with few words would be more fun to play. And have a new catagory for highest score for a game with bonuses.
Well...

I suck bad at muddle

Is there some sort of muddle strategy guide?  Because I really suck at it.  I keep getting my ass whomped by webTV girls named Karen or Julie.  Does muddle skill incorporate certain talents that I just don't have?  Can muddle be learned or am I doomed to suck at this game forever?  Maybe you could make a muddle junior edition that was only a 3-by-3 or 3-by-4?  Please do something, for godsakes.

Thanks

Hi,  I have been playing this game for a long time & I do really enjoy it.  I recently changed my computer & lost the expert game.  I would very much appreciate being able to play it again.  Thank you
Cylindrical Chess

A couple of us thought this up 30 years ago in college:  Standard chess board, standard piece placement, only change is one of perception... imagine that the board is a cylinder, instead of flat.  The  starting line of pawns becomes a ring, and unlike #15 "Bounceshops", the pieces may continue straight-line movement onto the otherside of the physical board.
