One web tv player currently has 6 games locked. Maybe it's within the rules, but it sure doesn't even come close to making these "cooperative" games. A little consideration, please. |

Just wanted to wish you all Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, and Festivus for the rest of us! Going home for the holidays, will be back on the boards sometime next week. Most likely not until New Year's Eve eve (12/30). Hope to see you!

I haven't been playing much lately, but just to keep my Scribble wits sharp, played this 18th-place game a few minutes ago:
http://archive.snoot.org/scribble/04.12/21.01.07.58-1830.html
Although the Web Top 50 doesn't reflect this (yet), it will take 10 more games above 1800 to eliminate all 1700's games from the Top 50. Carry on... :-)

Hi Tom
Sometimes when I go to play scribble and click on a game I immediately get locked out. The game says I am playing for an x amount of time left. What would be causing this problem. If someone else had gotten into the game a second or two before me I can understand being locked out but not myself being locked out from a game no one is playing. I usually play games 15 and 16
thanks |

thanks for offering to do that for me (you know what I'm talking about), but if you do everyone will know, and it will be worse than it is now!

Are you tired of being attacked for making a "bad" play in Scribble?
Do you find that your games are ended because you didn't play a 7 letter word or used a premium?
Did you place a word and by accident mess up a triple, only to then be called names in chat?
Are you picked on and made fun of just because of your nick and inexperience at the game?
Is Scribble no longer fun when this happens on a regular basis?
If any or all of this applies to you, it's here...
The Solution to Scribble!
Never before has there been such a ludicrous idea. It will be ripped to shreds, sure. That's a given. But, if, and this is a big IF, if it's given a chance, this could solve your Scribble problems and mine!
Here are some suggestions to follow for "The Scribble Solution" to work:
1. Do not, I repeat, do not play in games 15 and 16. You will reduce being called "this" and "that" by at least 80%. Other advantages can be discovered later if one adheres to this suggestion.
2. Play in games 1-14 and embrace the obstacles. Yes, embrace the mess-ups, the "u's" being used up, the premium tiles wasted and no s's. THIS is what makes the game fun and cooperative.
3. Play in games 1-14 and overcome the obstacles. Yes, you can make the best of a game that seems to be a "lost cause." Dig deep and come up with creative ways to get the most points from boards with words everywhere and with messed up set-ups. THIS is another example of what makes the game fun and cooperative.
4. Finish each game. I see too many games abandoned because of the "lost cause" and "waste of my time" syndrome. Games like these are gems. One can learn things from games which may not score high scores. A finished game is one to be proud of too.
5. Finally, as if this hasn't been said enough, be kind to fellow 1-14 gamers. Help fellow gamers out with complimentary and welcoming comments rather than sarcastic and insulting statements. It makes for a nice game and heck, being nice doesn't hurt.
Ok, I've said what I needed to say at 1:39am. I enjoy this game a lot.
Until we meet again or "no more words are possible":
United we Scribble.
Divided we scream.

Since when do we start a game with the shortest word possible to get the least number of points? Can someone let dsl.207.62.nas.net that the object of the game is to score "high" and not low?
I have seen this person do this many, many times. While I am not a "Master" at this game, I do try NOT TO MESS things up for others on purpose like this! Thank you for your time. |
