I'm just going to be bad and congratulate myself on a high scoring word...quixotes/374(?).
Too bad games are ended early...
It's like quitting a relay race because you already know you'll lose. The fun is in playing. It's very bad sportsmanship to quit.
I'm beginning to think the real high scores are in games 1-14. All the moves aren't planned out down to the last tile. Means a little more up there.
God Bless America,
Frankie |

If this is just a game to you, then why don't you just go play just any other game on the net? If you are just here to just post any word, to just spit on the instructions, just generally annoy the scribble players, how do you justify your actions?
Those great spots you 'find' to just plop down the first word you see don't just happen; it takes scribble players just a bit of strategy to set them up.
Just wanna have fun? have at it - just don't plop your word down where scribble players have just taken 4 turns to set up a trip. [newbies: one type of "set up" is a word that leads up to a triple word score that is intended for a "trip", which is an 8-letter word that spans 2 triple word scores and makes as much as 450 points in one play]
Just a minute, I just want to point out here that while that parenthetical statement I just made was directed at new players, this post isn't directed at new players that make newbie mistakes.
This post is directed at trolls, which are internet users that just go to a site, newsgroup, discussion board or chatroom just to disrupt the status quo. They know the rules or instructions or whatever of the place they are going to, they just choose to ignore them.
Back to my original question, which is just: why? why do you choose not to play scribble on the scribble boards? |

Lightning has struck twice... I don't know how I do it. hehe.

I'm glad this overtook the 1860 effort... this game doesn't have me saying "damnit" and the F word every other play, so the prestige of the 1st place game has returned. ;-)
Top 50 to be updated soon enough. :)

Want to see a good game? Just finished playing it a few minutes ago. Right here:
http://archive.snoot.org/scribble/04.08/23.13.26.29-1860.html
The sad thing is, I actually *lost* some points on stupid plays towards the end. Not talking 1900+ here, but possibly 1870 or so... oh well. I'm content. :-)

Tom,
There are several variations that always end in a draw because no one wants to play them. Perhaps these variations should be retired?

The Scribble Archive isn't archiving anything as of 4:30 PM EST, 8/11/2004. Free up some disk space, Tommy! :-)
... or, if you want a more interesting option, how about only archiving games that score over a certain point total. 1000? :) |
