To whomever maintains the Scribble game site: Having tried for days to get into one of my other favorite game sites, it occurred to me that I have never had trouble with Scribble. It's always there when I want it. Thank you! |

Happy New Year all. Might be my last 1800+ game for 2004, unless the tile gods are good to me. Still one more day left!!!

Just a reminder to make the directories in the Scribble archives (and possibly other archives too) for the year 2005. As of this writing, you have just about 2,600 minutes left until Armageddon. :-)
This time around, just make all the year's directories at once (up to December, not June), so we needn't have this conversation 6 months hence. Thanks ;) |

I'd like to suggest that the person that ends a game gets first chance to start the next game. I've been able to do this in the past by playing the last word, then immediatley reloading so the new board comes up, but lately, with the latest influx of new players, when I hit reload someone has already taken over the game board! This has happened to me twice today, and while I find it irritating, it's not written anywhere, so I thought I'd ask for cooperation.
To me, it's common courtesy to allow
the last person to play a word the opportunity to start the next one. All it means is that when someone sees a new game has been 'idle' for a short amount of time (I'd say under 30 seconds), they do not automatically open the game, but wait to see if someone is reloading, as I do.

One web tv player currently has 6 games locked. Maybe it's within the rules, but it sure doesn't even come close to making these "cooperative" games. A little consideration, please. |

Just wanted to wish you all Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, and Festivus for the rest of us! Going home for the holidays, will be back on the boards sometime next week. Most likely not until New Year's Eve eve (12/30). Hope to see you!

I haven't been playing much lately, but just to keep my Scribble wits sharp, played this 18th-place game a few minutes ago:
http://archive.snoot.org/scribble/04.12/21.01.07.58-1830.html
Although the Web Top 50 doesn't reflect this (yet), it will take 10 more games above 1800 to eliminate all 1700's games from the Top 50. Carry on... :-)
