Man, it's been a long time.
It was interesting to see the pictures of people I've only seen smiling through emoticons. I imagined some of you with horns and some of you with halos.
Turns out you're all ordinary people I'd see everyday. Nobody really looked the way I pictured them in my head.
Except Tom. Tom was exactly how I'd pictured him. ;)
Anyway, maybe I'll join you in a game or two one of these days. Seems continually more impossible to beat those scores.
2000 would look good hanging up on a wall, though... |

I do mean to pester you, Tom, but this is something that I really wish you'd implement.
I started this solo game,
http://archive.snoot.org/scribble/04.11/13.11.20.38-1318.html early this morning, off the regular boards that no one was playing on. A very good player choose to join the game. Had she been playing cooperatively, I wouldn't not have had a problem with her participation. However, this player blocked premium letter set ups and foiled a suggested trip.
I have asked her on more than one occasion what the problem is, and even asked for a truce. There was no reply.
I don't ever remember pissin' in her cornflakes, but her behavior suggests that I took a DUMP there, too.
Sorry, I got off on a personal rant there, Tom. Is there a logistical problem in creating the solitaire games? You've never said "yes" you would make them or "no" you wouldn't -- so, will you? please? |

PLEASE, somebody, get these "advanced" children some solitaire games or games in which they only have to associate with their own kind.
They may not care for my playing style since it NEVER involves use of a dictionary. How lame is it to play a word game with a dictionary even when it may be allowed in the rules? Where's the challenge in trying to find a place on the grid to place a long, obscure word you have searched for in a dictionary based on the letters you have to use?
As long as we all have to play the same games, remember that there are as many complaints about the way you try to dominate games as there are about the way some of us refuse to follow in lock-step. Many people are too polite to tell you about it; I'm not. |

I understand the frustration of trying to play around the trolls, but I find it just as frustrating to try to get into a game -- in the regular games, not the expert games -- that's being dominated by one person, i.e., one player has taken over and is making all the plays.
I started a new board tonight, and have not been able to get into the game since, because one person is hogging the game. The suggestion of one-player games was made last week, but as far as I know Tom hasn't implimented it -- and this game tonight is driving me crazy.
Hog a game YOU start, but don't take over someone else's game! Did you ever think I might want to play?

came up as a word in muddle, but i can't find it any of my normal online dictionaries.
google has a plethora of Asimove related hits. hmm... is there bias in the muddle/scribble dictionary? =)
