Into the frying pan

ffffsssscccchhhhhhhhhhh

I dreamt that Robert Pfeifer was killed by the Swiss Guard in Roma, and his mother wrote it here on the board.

I think I seriously need to rest.
Also, I wrote ten strips in a night.
2002 rings my cereal bell.

Back to the fightclubbish life of the first season, my friends...

not producing strips,
not taking part to the boards,
not.

Why? Work is flooding me,
yes: again.

A noticeable event: Veavitdpoh (can you remember him? One of the very first supporters of the strip!) called me from the Usa. 50 minutes of out-of-mind conversations about life, untitled.gif (untitledgif.org), mendel (mendel.comicsoviet.com), and a project which is hopefully going to be realized, in the end.

Something which started 2 years ago, which is slowly growing it's very shape, and of which I'd like to share the "concept art" (which is also going to be the actual art, to be honest):

All Dreams Must End

Wow!It was amazing last night. The girl across the street from me Melia who was my first crush since I was eight and I had my eyes on for all these years but was always out of reach was at my house last night and we had the most incredible sex imaginable.Sadly she was drunk and when she awoke she hardly remembered.Just friends again:(She is with this sleazy thirty four year old married guy.It meant nothing to her and it was the greatest thing ever to me but will probably never happen again.Ha all these long endless years of wishing and admiring and it finally came to bloom.Yet at the sametime it meant absolutely nothing to the other person.Yes all dreams must end.I am euphoric about this one minute and practically want to leap from a bridge the next.Ahh impermanence love it or hate it we all must accept it.
Debacle.

I've been H. for a day, my friends. I've really been H. for a day. It may have been Rob Pfeifer's Prophecy/Curse ;)

Well, although the concert has been wonderful and Matteo directed the ensemble with a supreme hand, and spoke about Last Cereal as the prime inspiration for all the pieces, none of the images I prepared were shown.

This, because of unexpected last-minute technical problems. And I went into the shadows, quietly smiling and the rest of the "happening". The only (powerful) good new, is that the whole thing, to the power of 10, will be repeated on a larger, MUCH larger scale in February.

This could be the time to resurrect the LC Movie project. I don't know.

For now, it's all. I've traveled to The City, The City laughed at me, and I traveled back here in Verona, my "Nothing Hill".
I think that drawing Last Cereal is actually drawing my future. Scary.

ps: You can find a very large movie of a piece being played while some of the musicians hide in the darkness, recorded by me with nightshot (looks like the Persian Gulf War tv reports)

In the belief that digital technology represents the promise of liberation to those restricted, encapsulated, and imbricated within the post-colonial constructions of modern normative societal "values", undermining the hegemonic binary of subject/object through the liberatory binary of 1/0, we hope to expose and problematize the very existence of such binaries in our cultural record; it is the machine as mirror, ironically reflecting precisely those "objective", reductionist constructions which are radically questioned by critical artistic texts. The following technological encodings, then, comprise not a
mere translation of lived experience into the mechanical realm, but a complete reconceptualization and reinterpretation of the mind/machine dialectic.

Awww yeah!

Art, flames and Nero

Guys, please; the silliest thing to argue personally over is opinions. And since everything is opinion and subjective anyway, we shouldn't take anything personally, right?

Your experience of the world is just as valid as mine. For 'world' read 'art', 'politics', 'sex' or any other noun you like.

I also have to say: you must have picked THE SINGLE, MOST subjective thing in EXISTENCE to fight about!

Nosferatu, there's nothing wrong with argument as reasoned discussion. Vla, your slightly holier-than-thou tone probably doesn't help...

But come on guys, art?!? I mean really. I don't think it's even possible to discuss art in its concrete form without sounding like a wanker. I meant what I said: there's no point in arguing like this over subjectivities.

Art only really has proper meaning for the artist. If you experience some piece that makes you feel something too, well great! But even trying to define art or who is or isn't an 'artist' is a COMPLETE waste of time. I'd like to think we have more important things to discuss here.

If Vla says 'Dali's not an artist', I guess she means 'I don't like Dali's work that much, because of the attitude he took to making it' or something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong here. ;)

Silly rabbits! Tricks are for kids.

It will trace a thick line between some ideas I had about Last Cereal, and what it's going to be in the near future.

I will take pictures for you, and me. Some of them will be projected as the orchestra plays.

Trace a PI on a piece of paper for me, friends :)

The Darker the Art.........

Do any of you watch alot of horror films?I do not mean stupid American guy with a big knife horror films I mean art horror, horror on its most surreal and psychological level.Such as the first Carnival of Souls,Dario Argentos Suspiria,Nekromantic, the old German horror films that were like paintings that moved(i.e Nosferatu,Metropolis,Hexxen)? Not that I am a morbid person but the darkness of Last Cereal is what attracted me to it the first time I read it and I feel death and the supernatural can be a subject to give that form of transcendence I think that is most important in anything from a mosaic to a kids colouring book.
More on Digital Art

You know I used to despise the very concept of digital art,to me it sounded to be something umm mechanical and sterile and corporate...an artistic medium I felt that would really kill art.But I just can not accept new things and I have been reading all this info here and I have reallized that digital art can become something great.Of course I can not talk much about digital art because I thought myself to artistic to even speak the word until now. Then again once upon a time people thought Murnau and all his "German Expressionist"colleagues were defiling art by using a movie camera and vampiric shadows scaling walls but how wrong those critics were.
